Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Wellbeing Lead to join U65's at Highfield Hall. As an integral member of the home's care team, you will play a vital role in planning and delivering meaningful events, activities and moments for our shared home community. You'll be a valued part of the home's daily life, supporting and championing our industry-leading, research-led wellbeing programme each day. There may also be opportunities to work in other homes across the group, depending on your availability and preference.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Wellbeing Programme Planning and Delivery

Programme Planning:?Plan and deliver a research-led, person-centred weekly activities programme tailored to residents' individual needs, preferences, and capabilities, ensuring sessions are engaging, stimulating, and varied. Session Evaluation:?Evaluate participation and adapt activities based on residents' feedback, interests, and changing needs, ensuring sustained engagement and enjoyment aligned with growth and leading a meaningful life. Inclusivity:?Offer a range of activities that reflect diverse cultural, personal, and religious interests, in line with our equality, diversity, and anti-discrimination policies. Documentation:?Maintain accurate records of individual and group participation and success using the care plan software (PCS).
Community Engagement and Events

Local Integration:?Build and maintain great working relationships with local community groups to involve residents in meaningful external activities and events. Event Management:?Collaborate with the Home Manager and Communications team to organise and deliver
regular internal and external special events and celebrations for residents, loved ones and our team.

Volunteer Recruitment:?Proactively recruit and manage volunteers to support activity sessions and social opportunities for our residents, loved ones and team. Budget Management:?Manage a monthly activities budget responsibly, ensuring delivery of a diverse and cost-effective wellbeing programme.
Teamwork and Contribution to Home Life

Resident Support:?Assist residents during sessions and communal times, including mealtimes, offering support and companionship. Communication:?Engage with the team, residents, and loved ones to understand individual needs and cultural preferences for activities, events and celebrations and actively work with the Communications team to provide information for news stories, newsletters and PR opportunities.
Marketing:?Capture meaningful photo and video moments on camera and send these to our Communications team using SharePoint to use on our social media and as part of wider marketing efforts.

Safeguarding and Compliance:?Comply with all safeguarding and safety policies, reporting incidents promptly to your Manager. Compliance / Professional Development:?Complete mandatory training and maintain up-to-date knowledge in line with the home's policies and professional standards.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE

Experience and Knowledge

Passionate about improving residents' quality of life through meaningful engagement, with a creative approach to planning activities that promote mental and physical wellbeing. Experience planning, delivering, and adapting wellbeing programmes in a care home or similar setting outside of care, with consideration for individuals' interests, cultural backgrounds, and abilities.
Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a proven ability to build meaningful relationships with residents, families and key stakeholders.

Comfortable using digital systems such as PCS, Connecteam and SharePoint to document and evaluate participation and outcomes.
A keen eye for capturing meaningful content and sharing this with the Communications team via SharePoint.

Knowledge of person-centred care approaches, including dementia care, mental health support and holistic wellbeing practices.

Ability to manage a budget and source community resources and partnerships effectively.
Teamwork and Behaviour

Compassionate and forward-thinking, with a strong desire to care for people in a way that contributes to a meaningful life through an engaging and person-centred wellbeing programme. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working collaboratively with the care team, management, residents, loved ones and external groups. Flexible and proactive, with a willingness to undergo training and professional development and a commitment to maintaining compliance with home requirements and care regulations.
Other

Right to work in the UK. Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS/PGV check. Availability to support the home during occasional out-of-hours requirements or events.
