K Mai Consulting are looking for a
compassionate, dynamic, and strategic
Wellbeing Manager
to lead our frontline community mental health programmes -- designed to support adults in early crisis or recovery across East London.

, building trust, and co-creating a safe, supportive space where individuals can recover, grow, and thrive.
What You'll Do
As our Wellbeing Manager, you'll be the visible and trusted lead on the ground -- coordinating care, inspiring your team, and shaping high-quality support rooted in trauma-informed, person-centred practice.
Your core responsibilities will include:
Leading and supporting a frontline team of wellbeing workers
Building referral pathways and partnerships with local authorities, GPs, and community partners
Managing and monitoring caseloads, quality, safeguarding, and compliance
Creating and coordinating therapeutic, creative and engagement activities
Ensuring a trauma-informed, community-led culture across the service
Developing real-time solutions and strategic ideas to expand the service
Supporting team development, training, and performance management
You'll also attend one Saturday per month to "walk the floor" -- listening to participants and staff, offering guidance, and reinforcing a culture of care and excellence.

What You Bring

Essential Experience & Skills
Minimum 2 years' experience in community mental health or wellbeing work
Proven leadership and supervisory experience, including managing safeguarding
Experience building referral pipelines and managing stakeholder relationships
Strong project and performance management skills
Ability to develop wellbeing programming and therapeutic engagement
Confident with reporting, monitoring systems (e.g., CSM), and staff caseloads
Great communicator, skilled in motivating teams and leading from the front
Qualifications
Level 2 English & Maths (or equivalent)
Degree in Community Development or similar field, or equivalent experience
Preferred (but not essential)
Experience with trauma-informed frameworks
Experience working with statutory health services
Project setup and bid development experience
