Working 28.8 hours per week (with the possibility to work full time (36 Hours))



25,956-27,037 per annum pro rata



Fixed-term until 31/05/2026 (with the possibility of an extension)



Coventry Refugee and Migrant Centre (CRMC) is the only organisation in Coventry dedicated to providing impartial and confidential advice, guidance and support to asylum seekers, refugees and migrants living in and around the city. We are a local, medium-sized organisation which has been welcoming refugees and migrants since 2000. Our aim is to help people to rebuild their lives and achieve their full potential in safety and dignity whilst supporting integration and encouraging active citizenship.

We currently have a very exciting vacancy for a Wellbeing Outreach Worker/

The post holder will do casework in hotels and the community to raise awareness of mental health issues, to improve access to support for those with mental ill health and refer suitable participants to mental health services.

The successful candidate will provide all age mental health support for asylum seekers and refugees in Coventry and Warwickshire, providing low level emotional support and triage to determine if therapy is required and support the mental health needs of children and young people through outreach in hotels and surrounding areas in Coventry and Warwickshire. Furthermore, the post holder will develop activities, events and "Safe Spaces" for children and young people in hotels and in the community.

The post holder will have experience of case working with vulnerable young people and adults, experience of working collaboratively with other professionals and agencies and experience of providing effective safeguarding support and guidance. Furthermore, the post holder will be able to build positive, and functional relationships with children and young people and to represent or advocate on behalf of vulnerable clients. Additionally, the post holder will have an excellent understanding of the needs of clients from migrant background and of current safeguarding and child and adult protection legislation.

The post will be based at Coventry Refugee and Migrant Centre, Norton House House, Bird Street, Coventry, CV1 5FX however work will be carried out at various locations within Coventry and Warwickshire.
