We're looking for a dedicated Wellbeing Worker to join our Care and Support team within Health and Adult Services.
As a Wellbeing Worker, you'll provide direct practical and emotional support to adults receiving social care. Working under the guidance of qualified professionals, you'll help individuals identify recovery-focused goals and connect with community resources to enhance their sense of purpose, identity, and self-esteem.
You'll support people with mental health needs, those accessing community social care, and individuals involved in intermediate care. Your role will include:
Supporting daily living activities such as budgeting and domestic tasks.
Encouraging involvement in meaningful activities and education.
Promoting mental and physical health and wellbeing.
Building therapeutic relationships and helping individuals access community networks.
Acting as a safeguarding adult and responding to emergencies.
We're seeking someone with:
Experience in social care or community support settings.
Knowledge of local services and referral pathways.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build supportive relationships.
A Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care (or equivalent), with a commitment to achieving Level 3.
Confidence in using IT systems and maintaining accurate records.
A non-judgemental approach and commitment to equality and diversity.
A full enhanced DBS check is required. You must be able to travel independently across a rural area and be flexible to work outside normal business hours if needed.
