POSITION SUMMARY:




To support and assist with managing the Wholesales Sales Team in the service of the existing and expanding client base and work closely with the Sales Director on the strategic development of the North American market to ensure continued growth of all Paul Smith product categories.



This position is responsible for managing, maintaining, and growing the Paul Smith Canadian accounts, maintaining relations with our current partners and expanding on the divisions success. This person is based out of Toronto and will work with department stores and specialty stores. Travel to stores is required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB:



To work closely with the Sales Director in the strategic development across all Paul Smith product categories of the North American market. To work in a research capacity in relation to new top side business opportunities as directed by the Sales Director. Promotes and supervises Account Executive and Sales Assistant's development through managing their daily tasks, training, and determining short-long term goals Oversees Sales Assistant responsibilities relating to samples, returns, reorders, and order management Oversees Account Executive responsibilities relating to managing accounts, growing a profitable business, advising with strategic initiatives, and other account management responsibilities To provide support, constructive feedback, and client management direction to the current Wholesale Team. To effectively sell the Paul Smith Collections to wholesale clients. Track weekly sales results, analyze performance, and determine strategy to drive incremental sales growth Compile monthly performance and profitability for key accounts to review with Sales Director Work directly with buying and planning teams to review sales, profitability, and OTB. Strategize action plan to maximize sales/receipts and reduce department givebacks. Assist Sales Manager to prepare seasonal sales plan and forecast budgets Develop excellent working relationships with all clients including regular store visits to liaise with DMM's, Buyers, Designated Selling Associates, Store Personnel, and clients. To maintain the merchandising of the Paul Smith areas in store and participate in frequent key account selling days. Liaise with all wholesale clients on a day-to-day basis. Service accounts with stock replenishment, product knowledge and any other client-based requests and to work through all relevant paperwork ensuring that these areas are maintained and kept up to date. To closely liaise and be a point of contact for the Department Stores and their multiple buyers regarding correctly processing orders and following through all aspects and requests from this side of the business and ensure any discrepancies are resolved Conduct store visits and organize seasonal product knowledge clinics for in-store staff Seek new partnership opportunities to strategically expand distribution Lead product development communications to U.K. teams through collection feedback, seasonal performance recaps, competitor analysis, and strategic market opportunities Collaborate with Marketing/Visual Merchandising teams on seasonal activations and projects for key accounts Maintain up to date knowledge on product shipping status and liaise with Logistics/Operations team to ensure shipping goals are achieved To ensure that all forward orders are processed to an agreed deadline and that all orders are cross referenced and checked for errors. Also, to chase a resolution for all problems and issues arising from this process. To have a close working relationship with the distribution function of the Office to ensure the smooth processing and distribution of all orders. To monitor distribution and production in relation to delivery windows. To assist with the booking of appointments with all accounts for the forward order selling seasons. Develop full competent use of company systems - Prima, Clarity, Omnivue, B2B Any other related duties, not specified above, as outlined by your Line Manager.



QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:



Undergraduate degree in a fashion and business related field or equivalent Minimum 6+ years of wholesale experience, preferably in the luxury market Proven ability to thrive in a goal-driven, fast-paced environment, with the objective to exceed financial targets Exhibit a strong work ethic, leadership skills, high energy level, and detail/team oriented Retail math skills Capable to travel domestically Working knowledge of sample trafficking systems and reporting. Experience working with Prima and Mosaic a plus Previous experience working with international shipments and documentation Excellent verbal and written communication skills/ comfortable speaking and writing with personnel at all levels Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel (formulas, v lookups, pivots) Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills a must Interest in the Paul Smith brand and has a passion for style and fashion Interest and knowledge of current trends in music, arts and culture Has initiative; is motivated and results driven Flexible and reliable Team player, helpful, approachable and trustworthy
