To support the delivery of the annual wholesale sales plan by continually monitoring stockist performance vs plan and proactively implementing stockist sales initiatives to ensure the sales plan is achieved.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Account Management Responsibilities
Building and maintaining long-term relationships with key wholesale accounts.
Acting as the main point of contact for wholesale partners.
Conducting regular account reviews (e.g., quarterly business reviews).
Supporting Head of Wholesale in negotiating trading terms, pricing, and promotional
agreements.
2. Sales & Growth Focus
Working with Head of Wholesale to develop account-specific sales strategies to drive growth.
Monitoring sales vs targets per account.
Identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
Providing forecasting demand in collaboration with independents and stockists.
3. Commercial & Financial Responsibilities
Working with finance on invoicing, payment collection, credit limits and resolving disputes.
Tracking profitability per account, not just overall wholesale vs plan.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Working with merchandising to align stock availability and stock allocation.
Liaising with logistics to ensure timely delivery and working through delivery issues.
Feeding account insights into product development or merchandising teams.
Working closely with marketing on account-specific campaigns and trade events.
5. Customer Development & Support
Providing training and product knowledge to wholesale partners.
Supporting accounts with merchandising, POS material, and seasonal planning.
Attending trade shows and visiting stockists to strengthen relationships.
6. KPIs & Performance Metrics
Clear accountability for account retention, revenue growth, and market expansion.
Measurable targets for customer satisfaction, order value, and repeat business.
