Location:

Working across multiple WildLand sites within the majestic Cairngorms National Park, Scotland.

Hours:

40 hours per week; permanent; full time; seasonal or flexible arrangements may be considered

The Role




An excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, passionate and skilled guide to join our team in the Cairngorms as we continue to grow and develop our guests experiences from our hospitality properties, bringing nature and conservation to life through bespoke activities, from fly fishing, hiking, biking and conservation safaris.


This role balances hospitality with conservation, hosting our guests and sharing WildLand's 200 year vision.


The position will offer an opportunity to develop your skillsets in guiding. Allowing you to learn about conservation & ecology from our experts so you can share this knowledge with our guests. This is an exciting opportunity to share your passions and connect with nature.

Deliver a consistent high performance in the Guiding Team.

Passionate and knowledgeable about the outdoors, a good understanding of Scottish flora and fauna, ecology, Scottish history and the historical land uses that have shaped Scotland's wild lands.

To be able to work under your own initiative and follow instruction when given.

Be comfortable working in all weather conditions, be forward thinking and a good problem solver, work well under pressure.

Have first class communication skills; face to face, by email & telephone.

Be tidy and respectful with all equipment in your care.

Have relevant experience or qualifications in: Flora and Fauna identification, First Aid, Food Hygiene, Mountain Leader, Guiding, Hospitality (Front of House), Pony Work, Off Road Driving, Wild Swimming, Fishing and Cycling or be prepared to achieve these within 12 months of undertaking the position.



Due to the location of work and type of work required a Valid Driving Licence is essential.


Weekend work essential.



A high level of physical fitness is required for this role.
