Job Description

To operate and maintain winding machines that prepare yarns for knitting processes in sock production, while supporting other production operations as part of a multi-skilled team. Primary Duties:

Set up and operate winding machines to wind yarn onto cones or spools according to production specifications. Adjust machine settings (tension, speed, yardage counters) to maintain consistent winding quality. Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot minor issues to minimize downtime.

Multi-Skilled Operations:

Trained in at least

three operations

involved in the production of high-quality technical socks, which may include: Bulking Boarding Winding Examining Finishing Packing End-of-line duties Forklift operation for material handling Flexibility to perform tasks outside primary responsibility when required to meet section goals.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with other team members and managers to ensure production targets are achieved. Cooperate fully and adapt to changing priorities to maintain workflow efficiency.

Quality Control:

Inspect yarn and finished products for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards. Record production data, including output, defects, and downtime.

Maintenance & Safety:

Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of winding machines. Follow health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of yarn and machine parts.

Skills & Competencies Required:



Technical ability to operate winding machines and other production equipment. Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and maintenance.

Qualifications & Experience:



No formal qualification required; on-the-job training provided. Previous experience in textile or hosiery production is desirable. Forklift certification advantageous.

Performance Indicators (KPIs):



Consistent supply of wound yarn and other production outputs without delays.
Ability to support multiple operations effectively

Understanding of yarn types and winding specifications. Flexibility and willingness to learn multiple operations. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
