Installing a range of fenestration products offered by the company on either a first fix, rip and fix or full replacement basis. Mainly installing windows and doors in both PVCu, aluminium and occasionally timber, occasionally fitting conservatories, rooves and other fenestration related products. Principally working as part of a small team and at times forming part of a team working on larger projects. Working in customer's homes, on grand designs, construction sites and in commercial buildings you will be involved in a wide range of installation types.
Trainees will be considered as there is a full Apprentice scheme in place.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES:
Tier 2 Competencies
Salary (29,658)
Fit windows and doors in PVCu / Aluminium / Timber to prepared openings
Rip out existing and replace windows and doors in PVCu / Aluminium / Timber
Rip out existing and replace windows and doors in PVCu / Aluminium / Timber including all making good to a high standard both internally and externally
Carryout full replacement of fascia, soffit and roofline products to domestic dwellings
Carry out installation of conservatories, roofs, balustrading and architectural glazing bespoke designs.
Solve basic fitting problems that arise by offering and actioning solutions suitable to the customer
Carry out a survey of work left to do during partially completed jobs and compile a snagging list for actioning.
Record any relevant site information and able to communicate clear information back to the office.
Carryout basic repairs to mainline fenestration products including hardware, operational adjustments and replacement sealed units.
Explain in detail the operation and maintenance of all products installed to the customer.
Complete all company documentation in line with company procedures
Promote the company in a positive manner at all times with a friendly, positive, customer focused attitude.
Able to work safely at height utilising work at height apparatus in a safe manner including erection of a tower.
Whenever possible take photos of installations at various stages, or as requested to help with marketing and social media presence.
Ensure company vehicles are cleaned and maintained in line with company requirements.
Tier 3 Competencies
Salary (36,178.00)
Lead a team (or teams) on all standard and complex installations for all fenestration products from start to finish responsible for planning, organising and supervising jobs to achieve a high standard of finish, being the main point of contact with the customer.
Detailed knowledge of a wide variety of products, able to fault find and action repair to all common fenestration products.
Extensive making good skill set, able to carry out to a high standard, cement fillets, rendering or skimming to reveals.
Problem solve and carry out resolution to complex installations as and when needed, able to communicate clear understanding to the customer.
Have a good working knowledge of building regulations relevant to fenestration as well as health and safety on site.
Carry out basic site surveys, able to measure accurately for product ordering, understand and plan installations giving thought to access, lifting, health and safety and any specific site requirements.
Tier 4 Competencies
Salary (38,675.00)
Be the branches most senior Fitter that leads by example, taking responsibility for installing complex and large scale jobs, mainly for key account and new customers, ensuring they always experience the highest levels of service.
Willing and able to support other Fitters with training, problem solving and re-work support as and when asked
Be positive and show a "can-do" attitude for any installation, warranty
or service related eventuality that the branch manager asks of you,
ensuring all communication to the customer promotes Camel in a
positive light.
Express a willingness to prioritise completing installations ahead of estimated time, by requesting overtime to enable job completion eradicating following part day visits.
Actively looking for and improving efficiency by advising branch managers of opportunities to utilise additional direct labour to increase profitability of jobs, and/or arranging deliveries to site by others to prioritise skilled labour being on site as much as possible.
Carry out site audits to review and evaluate installation standards, including mid and post installation inspections.
Work from or for alternative branches in the Group as and when necessary.
