We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Window Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of various types of windows in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work with a variety of materials and tools. The successful applicant will be expected to ensure that all installations meet safety standards and customer satisfaction.
Duties
Install and fit windows, doors and lanterns, ensuring they are secure and weatherproof.
Measure and cut materials to size using hand tools and power tools.
Read and interpret schematics to understand installation requirements.
Perform repairs on existing window fittings as necessary.
Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and masons, to ensure seamless project completion.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing client queries and concerns professionally.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Window Fitter or in a similar role is preferred.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment relevant to window fitting.
Knowledge of electrical systems related to window installations is an advantage.
Familiarity with plastering techniques for finishing touches around window frames is beneficial.
Ability to work at heights, including roofs, safely and efficiently.
Strong understanding of building regulations and safety standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site.
Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
