We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Window Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and possess a diverse skill set that includes expertise in various trades. As a Window Fitter, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of windows, ensuring they meet both aesthetic and functional standards. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Duties

Install, repair, and replace windows in residential and commercial properties. Collaborate with clients to determine their specific requirements and preferences. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete installations. Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to ensure accurate fittings. Perform necessary adjustments to ensure proper sealing and insulation of windows. Conduct routine maintenance checks on installed windows to identify any issues. Work alongside other tradespeople, including carpenters, plumbers, and electricians, as needed. Adhere to health and safety regulations throughout all stages of work.

Experience

Proven experience in window fitting or a related field is essential. Familiarity with roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, plastering, fabrication, carpentry, masonry, construction painting, and other relevant skills is highly desirable. Ability to work with various materials and understand their properties for effective installation. Experience using hand tools and power tools in a construction environment is required. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot installation issues as they arise.
