Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Window Fitter/or mate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of various types of windows in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work with various materials and tools to ensure high-quality finishes. The successful applicant will have a strong background in construction and a variety of related skills.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and replace windows in accordance with industry standards. Measure and cut materials accurately to fit window frames. Ensure proper sealing and insulation of windows to enhance energy efficiency. Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters, plumbers, and electricians as needed. Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times. Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to execute installations correctly. Conduct routine maintenance checks on installed windows to ensure functionality. Assist in the fabrication of window frames as required.

Skills

Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to window fitting. Experience in roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, plastering, fabrication, carpentry, masonry, and construction painting is highly desirable. Strong understanding of building regulations and safety standards. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Physical fitness and stamina for manual handling tasks associated with window fitting.
