We are seeking a personable and knowledgeable Wine Server to join our upscale dining team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fine wines, excellent customer service skills, and experience in food and beverage service. This role involves providing an exceptional dining experience by recommending wine pairings, serving guests efficiently, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Prior experience in restaurant settings, especially fine dining or banquet service, is highly valued.
The candidate must have previous experience in cooffe shops and wine bar.
Flexible mainly in the afternoon.
Duties
Greet guests warmly and present menus with detailed wine descriptions and recommendations
Take beverage orders accurately
Serve wine and other beverages professionally, ensuring proper presentation and glassware handling
Assist guests with menu planning, including wine pairings and meal suggestions
Maintain knowledge of the wine list and daily specials to answer guest questions effectively
Upsell wine selections to maximize sales while ensuring guest satisfaction
Handle cash or credit transactions accurately through POS systems
Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to during serving and handling of beverages
Assist in setting up banquet or catering events as needed
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the serving area throughout shifts
Skills
Proven experience in food service, especially in fine dining or banquet environments
Familiarity with POS systems
Strong knowledge of wines, food pairing
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
Ability to upsell effectively while maintaining guest satisfaction
Experience with food handling, safety protocols, and meal preparation is a plus
Previous catering or banquet experience is advantageous
Cash handling skills with accuracy in transactions
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of the food industry standards for safety and sanitation
