We're looking for a wine-passionate, people-focused Manager to lead our team and make LOAFT a beloved local hangout for wine lovers and friends alike.
The Role
As our Wine Bar Manager, you'll take the lead in the day-to-day running of LOAFT Brighton. You'll curate an inspiring wine list, deliver exceptional customer service, and foster a friendly, knowledgeable team culture. You'll also be responsible for ensuring the bar runs smoothly and efficiently, with a good understanding of the business's financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of daily service, ensuring a warm and memorable guest experience
Curate and maintain an interesting and accessible wine list, with a focus on sustainability and quality producers
Train and inspire your team on wine knowledge, service standards, and hospitality best practices
Work closely with the kitchen team to deliver a cohesive food and wine offering
Monitor stock, place orders, and manage supplier relationships
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and staff alike
Track financial performance and support cost control to meet revenue targets
Be an ambassador for LOAFT in the local community
About You
Proven experience in managing a wine bar, restaurant, or similar hospitality venue
Passionate about wine, with a good level of wine knowledge
Warm, approachable, and a natural host -- you make everyone feel welcome
A supportive leader who knows how to motivate and develop a team
Organised, reliable, and comfortable managing budgets and suppliers
Flexible and able to work evenings and weekends as required
