Duties
Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service.
Oversee all aspects of food preparation, including cooking, plating, and presentation.
Manage daily kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Develop menus in collaboration with management, incorporating innovative dishes and seasonal ingredients.
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain smooth operations.
Train and mentor junior staff to enhance their culinary skills and team management capabilities.
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Assist in serving guests when required, providing excellent customer service.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a professional kitchen environment.
Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation techniques.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
