Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficiency
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as necessary
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations
Manage food production schedules to meet service times and minimise waste
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to ensure consistent availability of ingredients
Innovate menu items and contribute ideas for seasonal or special offerings
Ensure all food presentation meets the organisation's quality standards
Experience
Proven experience in a culinary role within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment
Supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership capabilities in a kitchen setting
Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
Experience managing teams and coordinating multiple tasks efficiently
Familiarity with hospitality standards including serving procedures and customer service excellence
Previous experience in restaurant or catering environments preferred but not essential for entry-level candidates willing to develop their skills
Must have at least a years experience using the wok
