We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience with various machining processes. This role involves operating machinery to create precision components for furniture, ensuring quality and efficiency in production. The Machinist will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of manufacturing excellence.
Duties
Operate and maintain a variety of machinery, including cross cut saw, , rip saw, table saw, planer/thicknesser, dovetailer, etc to produce precision wooden furniture components.
Use power tools.
Follow pre prepared cutting lists to produce components in the required time frame.
Perform tooling changes and adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal machine performance.
Conduct quality checks on component parts to ensure adherence to specifications.
Collaborate with team members to improve processes and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Skills
Experienced in the use of woodworking machinery and hand tools for machining tasks
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
