Woodworking Machinist
Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Woodworking Machinist to join our team. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for profiling, sectioning different types of timber/MDF. This is a hands-on role that requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work with both power tools and hand tools.
Duties:
- Read and interpret drawings to determine project requirements
- Operate woodworking machinery such as cross cut saws, bandsaws, spindle moulders, forecutters, and sanders
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
Skills:
- Proficient in working with millwork materials such as timber, and MDF
- Strong knowledge of power tools and machines and their safe operation
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Knowledge of different types of timber species and their characteristics
- Experience with tooling setup and maintenance
