The Department of ISTEM (Innovation, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) plays a pivotal role in aligning our college with local and regional business needs while actively serving our community. With growth in 16-18 learner numbers and apprenticeships, our team is expanding, enhancing our curriculum delivery staff. This department is integral to our ongoing success in inspiring, recruiting, and supporting young learners in their achievements across Lancashire. We are now on the lookout for an exceptional individual who can join us in shaping our future successes.


We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Work Based Tutor with Fabrication and Welding Experience to join our dynamic ISTEM School.


The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 (or above) qualification in a relevant Engineering area, preferably have experience and qualifications in the area of Fabrication and welding, and be an experienced assessor.


The ability to assess workshop skills as well as Engineering knowledge would be advantageous but not essential.

Job Title: Work Based Tutor Fabrication and Welding

Salary:

From SCP 24 (31,095) to SCP34 (41,793) per annum pro rata depending on qualifications and experience. There will be an opportunity for progression within this pay range.

Hours: 37 hours per week
