Workforce Lead
to help us strengthen and develop the amazing team that makes our work possible.
The Role
The
Workforce Lead
plays a central part in building, supporting and developing our teams across the business. You'll be responsible for recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and ongoing staff development and training, ensuring every team member feels prepared, valued, and aligned with our standards and ethos. Your successes will be recorded via weekly, monthly and annual KPI monitoring with supportive performance management.
You'll also collaborate closely with our Quality Coordinators, Project and Marketing Leads, to make sure our services run smoothly, efficiently, and in line with organisational priorities.

Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
Lead our safer recruitment process, from job adverts and interviews through to selection and onboarding.
Organise inductions and training sessions to set new staff up for success.
Manage staff profiles, compliance uploads, and payroll information using Access and Atlas systems.
Compliance & DBS
Oversee DBS applications, tracking, and renewals to ensure compliance.
Maintain accurate records and documentation for safeguarding and workforce management.
Ensure staff training and CPD meet Endorphins' standards ("The Endorphins Way").
Staff Support & Development
Promote a positive workforce culture through clear communication and regular support.
Address attendance, conduct or performance issues with fairness and professionalism.
Lead in-house development sessions and support staff with continuous learning opportunities.
Payroll & Administration
Collect and review rota-based hours and expenses for payroll submission.
Manage budgets related to recruitment, onboarding, and workforce development.
Ensure equipment and resources (devices, badges, PPE) are issued and maintained.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Work closely with other leads to align workforce planning with service delivery needs.
Support initiatives that improve team cohesion, communication, and engagement.
Contribute ideas for improving systems, processes, and staff experience.
About You
We're looking for someone who's organised, empathetic and thrives in a people-centred environment. You'll have a strong eye for detail and the confidence to manage multiple priorities -- from compliance checks to team development. You'll be a go-getter who is organised and focused on making a positive difference to the lives of those we support.
Essential:
Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
Understanding of DBS and safeguarding processes.
Confidence managing budgets and administrative systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR or workforce management systems.
Desirable:
Experience in recruitment, HR, or compliance administration.
Experience with Access People Planner, Atlas, or similar software.
Experience in education, youth, or social care settings.
Knowledge of safer recruitment principles and CPD frameworks.
