On behalf of FCDO, we are looking for a Workforce Planning Manager (Inside IR35) for a 6 months contract based Hybrid - 2 days in Glasgow office.

As a Workforce Planning Manager, your main responsibilities will be:



Develop, implement and monitor the delivery of the Workforce Planning strategy. Conduct analysis on current workforce capability and develop required plan to meet policy and financial requirements. Advising and guiding the RSO Director, Senior Leadership Team and other senior staff on people related matters and support production of required reporting documents for Government submissions. Building strong relationships with FCDO HR and other organizational counterparts to shape and influence people related matters to protect the interests of RSO staff as well as resolving issues quickly. Develop and implement an efficient, effective recruitment, onboarding and induction programme. Lead on people engagement activities and strategies including the ongoing development of high performing teams and individuals. Lead and develop a team of operational colleagues that will directly drive the Workforce Planning requirements and implementation.

Essential:

Proven experience of developing and implementing workforce planning strategies. In-depth knowledge, skills and experience in successfully leading and delivering a range of people related initiatives. HR experience in building and developing organisational growth, capability, and culture. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to explain complex information in a clear and concise way to a variety of audiences. A key influencer and contributor, you will be insightful, with a passion for delivery of a professional service that meets and contributes to the strategy of the organisation. As a senior manager you will be highly visible, quickly building trust and maintaining collaborative relationships with colleagues across RSO, FCDO and Cabinet Office. Experience of leading operational teams to deliver at pace whilst maintaining a focus on development of a quality service.

Desirable:

Knowledge of business planning processes and alignment with strategic objectives Experience of working in an IT Service Environment Understanding of working across Government and public service Strong track record in coaching and people development
