CIG is a growing and well-respected construction company specialising in high-quality residential developments across the South West. We are now seeking an experienced

Working Site Manager

, ideally from a

bricklaying background

, to help lead the delivery of a mixed project comprising

four new-build houses

and the

conversion of an existing building into flats

.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys combining trade expertise with day-to-day site management. You will play a key part in ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, and to CIG's high standards.

Key Responsibilities

Day-to-day management of site operations, subcontractors, and trades Hands-on involvement in construction tasks, particularly masonry/brickwork where required Ensuring works are completed in line with programme, quality standards, and budget Coordinating materials, deliveries, and site logistics Overseeing health & safety on site, including toolbox talks and RAMS compliance Liaising with project managers, clients, and the wider delivery team Maintaining site documentation, diaries, and progress reporting Managing snagging, quality control, and maintaining a tidy, well-organised site

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

Experienced in residential construction management Ideally from a

bricklaying or masonry background

Confident working both as a manager and on the tools when needed Skilled in new-build housing and refurbishment/conversion environments Highly organised, proactive, and strong in communication and leadership Capable of reading drawings, sequencing works, and solving on-site challenges CSCS, SMSTS/SSSTS and First Aid qualified (preferred)
