The Role
We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Working Foreperson to join our experienced team. This is a key leadership position with responsibility for daily site management while continuing to work on the tools.
Responsibilities include:
Carrying out skilled trade work (carpentry, masonry, roofing, etc.)
Leading a small team on site and managing subcontractors
Interpreting technical drawings and planning work sequences
Ordering materials and overseeing deliveries
Maintaining high standards of finish, tidiness, and safety
Acting as the link between site, client, and office staff
What We're Looking For
Essential:
Strong trade background (ideally carpentry or Bricky/Groundworker)
Previous foreperson or supervisory experience
Full UK driving licence
Good communication, organisation, and leadership skills
Ability to deliver consistent, quality work with minimal supervision and within time frames
Desirable:
SSSTS or SMSTS
First Aid at Work
Experience with traditional or rural construction
Interest in energy-efficient or Passivhaus principles
