LMG Building Services is a family-run, professionally operated residential contractor delivering well-planned, well-run, high-quality projects.
We are not a volume house-basher.
We are not price-led.
We do NOT cut corners, rush programmes, or tolerate sloppy workmanship and poor timekeeping.
We are now selectively expanding our core delivery team to support secured work for 2026 and beyond.
The Opportunity
We are looking for experienced supervisors and top-end tradespeople who want:
Consistent, well-organised work
Clear programmes and scopes
Proper drawings, specifications & support
A company that respects skill, planning, and professionalism
A long-term home -- not "the next job"
If you take pride in how a site runs, not just how fast it finishes, this will suit you.
Roles We're Looking to Strengthen
We are particularly keen to speak with:
Senior / Working Site Supervisors
People who can:
Run loft conversions, extensions and refurbishments from start to finish
Manage small teams and specialist subcontractors
Plan works properly to protect programme and margin
Spot issues early and solve them before they cost time or money
Communicate clearly with clients, Building Control and the office
High-End Trades (Long-Term)
Especially those with experience in:
Structural carpentry
Loft and roof conversions
First & second fix carpentry
High-quality finishes
Working alongside steelwork, engineers and designers
The Standard We Expect
This is not entry-level and not suited to people who need micromanaging.
We are looking for people who:
Understand sequencing, logistics and buildability
Work cleanly, safely and methodically
Respect clients' homes
Care about detail, not just speed
Can read drawings and ask the right questions early
Take responsibility for quality on site
Have their own Van / Tools and full driving license
When applying, please be ready to answer the following:
For Supervisors
What types of residential projects have you run end-to-end in the last 3-5 years?
Have you managed loft conversions and extensions in occupied homes? What challenges did you face?
How do you programme works to avoid downtime between trades?
Can you give an example where early planning saved time or cost on a project?
How do you handle variations and unforeseen works on site?
What do you believe separates a well-run site from an average one?
For Trades
What kind of projects do you do best -- and why?
Are you used to working from drawings and specifications?
What's your experience working around:
Structural steel
General Building work
Building Control inspections
How do you ensure your work doesn't hold up other trades?
What standard of finish do you expect from yourself?
Why This Role Is Different (if you meet the criteria above)
Continuity of work -- we don't take people on for a few weeks
Real planning -- not firefighting
Professional systems -- contracts, programmes, inspections
Respect for skill -- we value experience and judgement
Growth opportunity -- as the company grows, so do the right people
Payments to reward your knowledge, commitment and what you deliver
We want people who will grow with us, not just work for us.
If you meet the criteria above and are looking for a challenge in 2026 and working alongside a fantastic team, then send your CV to accounts@lmgbuilding.co.uk
