Workplace Services Manager

About the Role

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Workplace Services Manager to join our IT Services team in The UK. Take a key role in driving success as the leader of 9 engineers based around the globe, overseeing the maintenance and optimization of the end-user computing environment and office-based productivity services across all Hansen locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of 9 skilled engineers distributed across different regions. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture, encouraging professional growth and development among direct reports.
  • Global Management: Oversee the Workplace team\'s operations, coordinating activities across various locations to ensure consistent service delivery, adherence to policies, and alignment with the organization\'s objectives.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of the technologies and tools in the Workplace environment, including DELL laptops, Intune, Azure Active Directory, M365, and SharePoint along with office productivity equipment (i.e., video conferencing). Provide technical guidance and support to the team when tackling complex issues and projects.
  • Incident and Problem Management: Ensure timely resolution of end-user incidents and problems related to Workplace services. Implement best practices for incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
  • Change Management: Work closely with other IT teams to plan and execute changes in the Workplace environment. Mitigate potential risks and minimize disruptions to end-users during change implementation.
  • Security and Compliance: Collaborate with the Information Security team to maintain a secure Workplace environment, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with technology vendors to optimize service delivery, negotiate contracts, and stay informed about updates and advancements in Workplace technologies.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyse Workplace performance metrics to identify trends, make data-driven decisions, and proactively address potential performance issues.
  • Project Management: Lead Workplace -related projects from inception to completion. Develop project plans, allocate resources, set milestones, and effectively communicate project progress to stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance the end-user experience, streamline processes, and optimize Workplace technologies. Drive initiatives to implement best practices and achieve operational excellence.
About You

You are a highly enthusiastic individual with proven experience working with and managing remote teams.
  • At least 5 years of experience in managing IT teams, preferably in an EUC or desktop support role.
  • Strong technical background and hands-on experience with EUC technologies, Azure Active Directory, Intune, M365, Teams and SharePoint.
  • Proven experience or demonstrated capability in leading IT operations teams in complex and dynamic environments requiring 24/7 support.
  • Experience working in a diverse global environment and with virtual teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with team members, stakeholders, and executive management.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
