We are seeking a conscientious and responsive support worker to assist a visually impaired colleague in our busy office. You'll play a vital role in converting visual information into accessible formats, and supporting with systems not compatible with assistive technology, enabling our colleague to work independently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret visual content (e.g., photos, PDFs, spreadsheets, graphs), relaying key information verbally.
Support energy contract pricing and quoting processes through supplier portals.
Convert partner and customer data into accessible formats.
Assist with non-accessible web-based systems and supplier portals.
Transfer incoming calls appropriately using office phone systems.
Support meetings through visual description and note-taking.
Essential Skills & Experience
Experience in administrative or support roles within a business or sales environment.
Proficiency with IT systems including CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, and web portals.
Clear, professional verbal communication.
High attention to detail and respect for confidentiality.
A willingness to learn new systems and adapt to evolving tasks.
Desirable
Experience supporting individuals with visual impairments.
Familiarity with assistive technology (e.g., JAWS screen reader).
Additional Information
This role is funded through Access to Work, with hours and tasks structured accordingly.
Full training on internal systems and processes will be provided.
