Could you be the Works Supervisor who keeps production running smoothly and delivers high-quality safety products on time?
My client is a well-established manufacturing company specialising in production of specialist safety equipment, committed to quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. They are seeking a proactive Works Supervisor to oversee production, coordinate the warehouse team, and ensure all products meet high standards. As a Works Supervisor, you will play a key role in scheduling, supervising staff, and keeping the production line running efficiently.
What will you be doing as a Works Supervisor?

• Oversee product production, ensuring schedules are met and quality standards are maintained
• Plan, coordinate, and control production alongside pick-and-pack operations in the warehouse
• Monitor KPIs, adjust resources as needed, and minimise material waste
• Ensure routine maintenance of equipment including laminators, bandknives, and slitting machines
• Organise transportation with couriers and freight forwarders
• Liaise with the Sales Office to ensure customer satisfaction
• Supervise and motivate a team of 12, conducting performance reviews and identifying training needs
• Generate production and other reports using designated IT systems
• Deputise for the Production Manager as required and maintain premises security in their absence

• Proven leadership experience in a similar role within a production or manufacturing environment
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across all levels of the business
• Confident decision-maker with excellent problem-solving abilities
• Highly organised, able to prioritise tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Must be confident to follow all processes in line with the ISO accreditation
• Experience supervising a team and implementing production processes
• Must be IT literate across Microsoft Office 365, however any knowledge of SAGE would be an advantage, but is not essential

• Competitive salary of 35,000pa
• Full-time, Monday to Friday (39 - 45 hours), 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday to Thursday, 8:00am - 1:30pm Friday
