The successful candidate will assume responsibility for the overall day-to-day operations, and will be empowered to boost performance, maintain high standards and through great customer service will ensure repeat business. A strong communicator who can inspire their team and instil confidence in customers is essential.
This role calls for someone with proven experience (at least 3 years) within a commercial workshop where you will have worked as either a Senior Technician, Service Advisor, or Controller role. We'd like to speak with candidates who will bring calm under pressure, strong leadership, solid technical knowledge, and proven ability in using Microsoft Office and online platforms. Is this you?
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
Coordinate service schedules and appointments, ensuring optimal resource allocation
Maintain accurate records of client interactions, service & breakdown requests, and follow-ups through data entry
Manage inventory of supplies & PPE ensuring all necessary materials are available for the team
Support the financial aspects
Allocating jobs and managing team workloads
Monitoring repair progress, productivity, and quality
Collaborate with suppliers and customers
Create reports, manage documentation, and facilitate communication
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality standards
Motivating and mentoring mechanics to perform at their best
Requirements
Proven experience in a similar role (at least 3 years).
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems.
Communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
Have a mature outlook and the ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure.
Understand the importance of excellent customer service.
A full, clean UK driving licence and proof of qualifications are required.
Hours of work 08:00 - 17:00 Monday - Friday
