Job Description
Commercial Workshop Controller
- Widnes
- Basic Salary up to \xc2\xa342,369
- OTE around \xc2\xa350,000
- Monday - Friday 08:30am - 17:00pm - 40 hours a week
The primary responsibility of the Workshop Controller is to:
- Ensure the profitable and efficient functioning of the Widnes Workshop Maximizing the utilization of productive staff and ensuring adherence to proper processes
- May be required to perform productive technician work as needed
- This role requires a strong focus on achieving operational excellence and maintaining a high level of productivity within the workshop
- Previous experience in a supervisory/managerial role, preferably within the Commercial Vehicle Industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of VOSA requirements and the MOT testers manual
- Familiarity with Operators Licence Laws and Regulations
- Ability to stay updated on the latest best working practices and maintain personal technical knowledge and skills
- Technical qualifications equivalent to City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Technology
- Possession of a Class 1 HGV Licence
- Ability to thrive under pressure and work independently
- Proficiency in computer usage, including a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
