Fork East Ltd is looking for an experienced

Workshop Engineer

to join our Framlingham workshop team. This is a

workshop-based role

, working alongside other skilled engineers to support each other and our customers, together forming a strong service support backup.

Pay & Hours

17.50 - 20.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Paid at a flat rate of

9 hours per day

Overtime optional, paid at

time +

Typical Annual Earnings (Guide): 41,000 - 46,800

, based on standard hours, including paid holidays and bank holidays

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 5:00pm Paid 15-minute break at 10:00am Unpaid 30-minute lunch break at 1:00pm

The Role

Servicing and repairing forklift trucks and associated equipment Completing on-hire and off-hire inspections Supporting workshop workload alongside other engineers Occasional use of a workshop van to assist mobile engineers Servicing and repairing company vans, cars, and our HGVs General workshop repairs, including forklift attachments, ramps, platforms, and similar equipment
Welding experience is

useful but not essential

. This is not a fabrication role.

About You

Experienced in automotive, plant, HGV, forklift, or similar mechanical engineering Confident carrying out servicing, repairs, and inspections Comfortable in a workshop environment while occasionally supporting field engineers Team-focused, reliable, and practical Forklift experience beneficial but not essential Welding experience advantageous but not required
