Key duties and responsibilities:

Service, repair and maintain our own fleet of plant and tool hire equipment and customer machines, to the manufactures specifications and to ensure machine reliability and safety. Mainly working within the small plant and tool hire part of out business. Successfully diagnose and rectify electrical, hydraulic, petrol/diesel engines and various engineering activities to support and maintain our fleet and that of our customers. Carry out work on site and in our own workshop, to the highest level. Complete risk assessments in line with company health and safety policy and ensure safe working practices are in place at all times. Assist with the ordering parts and update service files. Any other duties as deemed necessary to fulfil the role

The ideal candidate will have:

Relevant experience and preferably, qualifications e.g. City and Guild, NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualifications or equivalent to or greater than. Experience in construction plant, diesel engines, electrics, hydraulics. Good IT Skills would be an advantage but not a requirement. Experience - knowledge and experience of a variety of machinery ideally in the construction or tool hire industry. Time Management - Ability to set timescales to own tasks to enable completion of duties and to ensure all tasks are carried out with a level of urgency and within a timely manner, whilst not compromising safety. Must carry a full driving licence.
