We are seeking a skilled Fitter/Repairer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fitting and assembly, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. As a Fitter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that components are accurately assembled and meet the required specifications.
Duties
Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery to fit parts together effectively.
Areas of welding are required to effectively repair the boxes for further use.
Use Fork Lift Truck to Load and Unload Boxes that are repaired or awaiting repair
Conduct quality checks on assembled products to ensure they meet industry standards.
Collaborate with other team members to optimise workflow and efficiency.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Troubleshoot and resolve any fitting issues that may arise during the assembly process.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Fitter or in a similar role within the manufacturing or engineering sector.
Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with various hand tools and machinery used in fitting processes.
Welding experience required.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
A relevant qualification in engineering or mechanical fitting is desirable but not essential.
