Vehicle Technician / Workshop Manager
Location: Milton Keynes
Full-time | Flexible schedule including weekends
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Vehicle Technician / Workshop Manager to lead our workshop operations and carry out high-quality vehicle maintenance and repair work. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines technical expertise with team management, ideal for a professional with a strong mechanical background and the drive to deliver excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily workshop operations, ensuring efficiency and safety at all times
Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of vehicles to a high standard
Assemble components and systems using hand and power tools
Conduct welding and fabrication tasks where necessary
Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and documentation
Carry out regular maintenance and repairs of workshop equipment
Train and mentor technicians, promoting a safe and collaborative environment
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
Provide exceptional customer service, resolving queries and issues professionally
Maintain a clean and organised workshop
About You
Proven experience as a vehicle technician or in a similar mechanical role
Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills with attention to detail
Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
Comfortable with interpreting schematics and technical documentation
Physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment
Effective communication and leadership abilities
Previous supervisory or workshop management experience is highly desirable
Strong customer service skills
Requirements
Must live within reasonable commuting distance of Milton Keynes
Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
No prior criminal convictions
