National Skirting is a small company in a period of growth with a good outlook, we have a full production workshop on site producing skirting boards and architrave. Our operations are based in Queniborough in Leicester, with our customer base spanning the whole of the UK. We are a fast moving company with the majority of our business coming via online & phone sales along with a steady footfall through our showroom. The workshop is open from 8:00 to 17:30, but we are open to accommodating earlier starts.

Job description

We are looking for somebody at ease in a fast paced environment with the will to learn. Experience is not a necessity as we will provide training on the various machines etc. The position will allow you to develop your manufacturing skills alongside your knowledge of products and specifications. Should you find this position fulfilling, progression is available.

This job requires a good level of fitness as some lifting is part of the position.

Team working, reliability and being keen to deliver a quality product to our customers are essential qualities that are required for a successful candidate.

The role consists of making skirting boards, architraves from cutting, profiling and spraying. You will also take part in other tasks within the company as the role evolves.

Full training will be given to every section of the production chain.

An hours break will be given daily.

Your daily role :

Manufacture from A to Z raw materials using machine saw, spindle moulder, spray gun associated with wood/MDF based products. Wrap orders and check the dispatch manifest, making sure that each load is ready for our drivers. Participate in the daily tasks to make our workshop a clean and safe environment. Unload deliveries using a forklift. Must always maintain a high level of cleanliness and tidiness of the workspace.
What the job requires:

Team spirit is key, help each other when needed to complete the daily production. Flexibility, some overtime might be needed to complete production. Have great communication skills to ensure key information is passed onto the relevant team member. Eagerness to learn and develop new skills. Full time job (8 hour shifts minimum, overtime as needed to suit the business needs)

Pay: 12.21-12.80 per hour
