Workshop Technician

to join our engineering team at our head office in Burgess Hill.

This hands-on role involves assembling, servicing, and refurbishing a wide range of mobility products. Whether you already have technical experience or are looking to develop your skills in a growing industry, we offer full training and a supportive working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Workshop Technician, your main duties will include:

Assembling and testing new mobility equipment, including scooters, riser recliner chairs, profiling beds, and wheelchairs Diagnosing and testing batteries, chargers, and electronic components in our workshop Performing routine servicing and maintenance on equipment Refurbishing used mobility products to a high standard for resale Assisting engineers with the installation and removal of stairlifts when required Keeping the workshop organised, clean, and compliant with health and safety standards Accurately recording work completed and updating service logs

What We're Looking For:

We're looking for a practical, reliable, and detail-oriented individual with a genuine interest in technical or mechanical work.

Essential:

Hands-on, practical approach to problem-solving Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality and safety Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills Basic computer literacy for logging service records Good communication and teamwork skills

Desirable:

Previous experience in a technical, workshop, or mechanical role Knowledge of mobility equipment or similar products A full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential)

Pay: 26,000.00-27,500.00 per year
