The Workshop Technician role:
Ensures the company fleet is effectively serviced and repaired on a cost-effective and timely basis within company and regulatory requirements.

What you'll be doing as our Workshop Technician:
Ensuring vehicles are repaired and maintained in accordance with prescribed standards
Preparing and presenting vehicles and trailers for MOT inspections
Diagnosing vehicle-related defects using available diagnostic equipment and arrange for relevant action to be taken
Liaising with vehicle manufacturers regarding acquiring of parts and replacement vehicles, keeping key colleagues informed of progress where necessary
Ensuring high levels of safety and cleanliness at all times and that required house-keeping duties meet required standards
Updating and maintaining appropriate records and ensuring all relevant information is shared with relevant departments on a timely basis
What qualifications and experience are we looking for in our Workshop Technician?
Qualified to Level 3 or equivalent in HGV/LGV maintenance and repair
Experienced in using transport repair tools and associated software
Experienced in following established procedures and problem-solving and/or making sound judgements where not all information is available
What skills are we looking for in our Workshop Technician?
Ability to compile, analyse and interpret relevant data
Ability to use initiative and organise their work so that key tasks can be completed fully and on time
Ability to work to fluid targets and deadlines
Proven verbal and written communication skills
Proven arithmetic skills
