Eskens Tinting Solutions UK is part of the Eskens Group B.V and is 1 of 5 operating companies servicing Central Europe, providing its customers with a wide range of tinting and mixing solutions. With over 14 years' experience in the UK paint and coatings industry, we can support everything from the smallest tinting operations to large scale projects with major retail and coatings companies. Eskens Group UK has rapidly expanded over the last 3 years and are now the largest independent Tinting Machine Sales and Service Company in the UK. Due to business growth, an opportunity has arisen for a Help Desk Advisor to join our team to help us continue to grow and maintain our fantastic reputation. This is a niche sector and the machines and software and software you will be supporting are tailor made, making the role an exciting opportunity to learn new skills as full training will be provided.

Role Overview



As a workshop technician, you will mainly be responsible for the preparation, assembly, and functional testing of machinery and equipment prior to installation at client sites. This role ensures that all machines meet quality and operational standards before dispatch, contributing directly to successful on-site deployment and customer satisfaction. In addition to pre-installation preparation, you will also be responsible for diagnosing and repairing machinery sent in by customers, ensuring all repairs are completed to a high standard within agrees timeframes.

Key Responsibilities:



Machine Assembly & Preparation: Assemble, configure, and test machines in line with technical specifications and customer requirements.

Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI): Carry out comprehensive checks and diagnostics to ensure machines are fully operational and installation ready.

Repair & Maintenance: Diagnose faults and perform mechanical and electrical repairs on returned, damaged, or defective equipment.

Documentation: Accurately complete build records, test logs, and repair reports to ensure traceability and quality compliance.

Workshop Standards: Maintain a clean, organized workspace and ensure all tools and equipment are properly used and maintained.

Collaboration: Liaise with planning team to ensure machines are delivered in peak condition and to schedule.

maintain first class quality standards in line with business principles through remote support and site visits whilst meeting the customers SLA.

Self-driven to register and report all work performed and escalate any urgent feedback to the appropriate person within a timely manner.

Undertake any reasonable request.

Open to learning by attending training sessions relating to a wide variety of tinting software & equipment both in the UK and at manufacturers in Europe.

Skills & Qualifications



Minimum of 2 years electromechanical service experience including being fully PC literate, with an understanding of both firmware and operating software.

A strong customer focus with high team ethos.

Demonstration of outstanding communication skills, maintaining composure and customer focus across the different customer base.

Be proactive with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues.

Strong troubleshooting skills with a combined methodical and analytical mindset.

Ability to read and understand technical drawings and electrical circuit diagrams.

Flexible in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate real attention to detail.

A self-starter, comfortable working within demanding deadlines.

Commitment to quality and delivering excellent customer experiences.

Ability to work well as an individual and in a collaborative team environment and build strong working relationships with stakeholders and colleagues.

Experienced insight into technical faults, mechanical, electrical and software-based issues.

Willingness to learn new skills and adapt within a changing environment. Within the first year you will work towards certification on the following machine types: Collomix, Corob, Dromont and Fast and Fluid.

It may be necessary from time to time and with the appropriate consideration made, for you to complete site visits for the purpose of completing repairs or installation. For example, pairing up with a field technician to assist in a challenging installation or completing a reactive maintenance call in order for us to comply with a particular customers SLA.

Full/Clean UK Driving Licence.

Hours of operation



At Eskens Group UK we operate over 7 days per week, from 8am to 8pm Mon to Fri, 8am to 6pm Sat and 9.30am to 5.30 pm Sun within the office. The role will be required to work Monday to Friday with occasional weekend working.
