Job Description

We're looking for an experienced multi-skilled (electrically bias) maintenance technician/engineer who enjoys travelling and variety in their work to join our team. You will be able to work to tight deadlines and have good time management awareness along with a level 3 Engineering or Technical qualification. This position is open to ambitious junior engineers wishing to travel, and highly skilled engineers looking for stability and variety. Pay will be suitably reflected by experience and skills. Provided your attitude and attention to detail meets our standard, industry experience of working with radiography equipment is not essential due to safety and accuracy being non-negotiable. Ongoing training, certification and support is assured. Full UK driving licence and clear DBS required. Part of the role will require working from our sister company sites.

Role:

This role would ideally suit an experienced multi-skilled (electrically bias) maintenance technician/engineer who enjoys travelling and variety in their work, as each day provides its own challenges.

Permanent, full-time, day shift Monday-Friday (37.5hr week) factory - earlier starts and later finishes while on site/travelling Flexi-time where permitted Field-based with 80% on site/traveling and 20% factory Working from sister company sites as required Overnight(s) away from home up to 1 week at a time (2/3 nights typical) Ability and wiliness to travel at short notice May involve weekend work (rare) UK wide travel with some European
Person:

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Safe, correct, and efficient preventive and routine maintenance of equipment and machinery Diagnostics of faults and issues of equipment, machinery, and systems Repair of equipment, machinery (electrical & mechanical) and systems Correctly disassemble, inspect, clean, replace and re-assemble mechanical assemblies Installation of electro-mechanical systems in accordance with safety standards and regulations Electro-mechanical system testing and commissioning Completion of risk assessments, reports, documentation and certificates Equipment and machinery health checks Liaise with customer about works and suggested (any) remedial actions Have the knowledge, understanding and competency to identify potential regulation breeches and feedback to the office Feedback to the technical team with improvement suggestions Punctual, professional and a company ambassador Manage own time Assist other business functions when not on site Assist other Group companies when required Ability to get on with the job, using knowledge, skills and experience to make informed decisions
Package

18.50 - 20.00 to start per hour salary range depending on experience. This position is open to ambitious junior engineers wishing to travel, and highly skilled engineers looking for stability and variety. Actual pay will be suitably reflected by experience and skills." Overtime at 1.5 x hourly rate - weekdays on time over 37.5hr per week Overtime at 1.5 x hourly rate - weekend/bank holiday OR hours in lieu/flexitime for overtime 24 days plus statutory holidays, increasing with service Fully expensed travel Full product training and qualification Long service awards Sick pay as a benefit of service
Experiences & Qualifications

Essential
o Industrial electrical/electronic hands-on practical skills

o Industrial mechanical hands-on practical skills - maintenance experience

o Appropriate engineering/electrical experience and training such as an apprenticeship

o Level 3 engineering or technical qualifications (e.g. ONC/NVQ L3/C&G L3)

o Full clean UK driving licence

o Ability to pass security clearance (DBS)

o IT literate with email and MS suite such as Word and Excel

Desirable
o Electrical installation and/or testing qualification

o Multi-disciplinary with mechanical/fitting experience
