Empower Active is a vibrant, community-focused sports coaching and activity provider delivering high-quality PE, holiday camps, wrap-around care, and wellbeing programmes across Worcestershire. Our wrap-around clubs are more than just childcare - they're a place where children start and end their school day with creativity, connection, and confidence. Through games, themed activities, baking, arts & crafts, and physical play, we help children feel empowered every day.
The Role: Wrap Around Club Manager
We are seeking a dynamic, reliable, and enthusiastic Wrap Around Manager to lead one of our thriving wrap-around care clubs. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for working with children, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality activities that engage and inspire.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily running of the breakfast and after school club
Ensure a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for all children
Plan and deliver a variety of fun and stimulating activities (including arts, sports, games, and crafts)
Lead and support a small team of club staff
Build strong relationships with children, parents, school staff, and Empower Active's leadership team
Ensure all safeguarding, health & safety, and Ofsted requirements are consistently met
Complete relevant administration tasks (registers, incident forms, etc.)
Support the wider Empower Active team during school holidays if available
Essential Requirements:
Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent
Previous experience working with children in a leadership or supervisory role
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
Desirable Qualifications (or willingness to undertake training):
Paediatric First Aid
Safeguarding Training
Food Hygiene Certificate
