Ballers Sports Club delivers high-quality sports coaching, childcare, and enrichment provision for children and young people. We are expanding our services to include
Wraparound Care (Breakfast and After School Clubs)
and are seeking an experienced, motivated
Club Manager
to lead the day-to-day operation of this provision.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership, safeguarding, and organisational skills to play a key role in launching and managing a new wraparound service.
Role Overview
The
Club Manager
will have overall responsibility for the safe, effective, and high-quality delivery of the Breakfast and After School Clubs. You will lead a small team of practitioners, ensure compliance with Ofsted and safeguarding requirements, and act as the main point of contact between Ballers Sports Club, the school, parents, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the
day-to-day operation
of Breakfast and After School Clubs
Lead, supervise, and support a team of
Club Practitioners
Ensure staffing ratios meet
Ofsted and safeguarding requirements
at all times
Ensure full compliance with
Ofsted, safeguarding, health & safety, and food safety regulations
Plan and oversee a varied programme of
play, sports, and enrichment activities
Support and coordinate
1-to-1 provision for SEN children
, ensuring inclusive practice
Maintain accurate registers, incident reports, and safeguarding records
Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and Ballers management
Manage daily routines including child handover, collection procedures, and transitions from school or clubs
Support the onboarding, training, and induction of new staff
Contribute to continuous improvement through feedback, reviews, and quality assurance
Person Specification Essential
Experience in a
childcare, wraparound care, or playwork leadership role
Strong knowledge of
safeguarding and child protection
Confident managing staff and leading a small team
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive
Willingness to take responsibility for compliance and quality standards
Desirable
Previous experience as a
Club Manager, Deputy Manager, or Senior Practitioner
Experience working with
SEN children
, including 1-to-1 support coordination
Knowledge of
Ofsted registration and inspection frameworks
Relevant childcare or playwork qualification (Level 3 or above)
Safeguarding & Compliance
