Position Overview:

As a Wraparound Care Leader, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality wraparound care services at Boston St Marys RC Catholic Primary school . This position involves working with primary school-aged children in a supportive and engaging environment during the crucial post-school hours.

Responsibilities:

Supervision and Engagement:

Provide a safe and supportive environment for students during the wraparound care hours. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development.

Provision of Hot Meals:

Coordinate and ensure the provision of hot food as part of the wraparound care offer. Work with relevant staff to organise food stock, considering dietary restrictions and preferences.

Enriching Activities:

Plan and organise a variety of enriching activities, both indoors and outdoors, to cater to the diverse interests and developmental needs of the children. This may include arts and crafts, sports, educational games, and other creative pursuits.

Communication:

Maintain effective communication with parents, teachers, and school staff regarding bookings, activity schedules, and any specific information related to individual children. Provide regular updates on children's activities and behaviours.

Professionalism:

Uphold a professional demeanor, demonstrating reliability and punctuality in meal preparation and activity planning. Adhere to school policies and guidelines while promoting a positive image of Boston St Marys RC Primary School.

Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with other Wraparound Care Leaders and school personnel to create a cohesive and supportive team environment, ensuring the seamless integration of wraparound care into the school day.

Qualifications:

Level 2 in Food Hygiene is preferred but training given if not. Previous experience in a primary school setting, child care, or coaching is highly desirable. Passion for child development and creating enriching experiences for primary school-aged children. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to adapt to the needs of individual children and maintain a positive and patient attitude.
