We are now offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team as a
Wraparound Manager/Playworker/Apprentice at one of our Primary Aged Settings
. If you're enthusiastic, eager to learn, and love working with children, this could be the perfect first step in your childcare career.
The Role
Depending on which role you are applying for your responsibilities will differ, but what we expect from any level of employee is engaging the children to the best of your ability before and after school care for children aged 4-11. You'll help to create a safe, stimulating environment where children can play, relax, and thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Be in charge of/Assist in planning and delivering a wide range of fun, age-appropriate activities.
Support children's play, development, and well-being in a caring, inclusive setting.
Help to set up and tidy away equipment and resources.
Supervise children and ensure their safety at all times.
Promote positive behaviour and inclusion.
Prepare and serve healthy snacks.
Communicate professionally with children, parents/carers, and the team.
Follow all JR Sports Group safeguarding, health and safety, and behaviour policies.
Attend training sessions and complete coursework as required by the apprenticeship programme.
What We're Looking For
A positive, reliable, and enthusiastic attitude.
A genuine interest in working with children in a play-based environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
A willingness to learn and complete all training and assessments.
GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 4/C or above (or willingness to work towards).
Must be 16+ and eligible to work in the UK.
Successful applicants will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
