We are seeking to appoint a number of enthusiastic and motivated Play Workers for our new and exciting wraparound childcare provision that is set to launch for the new academic year. This will comprise of a breakfast club AND after school club in our school hall. Working hours will be 7.30am - 8.45am and 2.45pm - 6.15pm, Monday - Friday (term time). We welcome applications from those able to work at the breakfast and/or after school club, or those looking to work on particular days of the week.

Paid weeks per year

: 44.85 (inclusive of holiday entitlement)

About the role

Responsibilities will vary but include:

Assisting with planning, preparing and delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment. Setting up the play space including moving furniture and play equipment. Providing comprehensive care for the children, including safeguarding. Providing refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, health and safety standards are met. Administering first aid when necessary. Good communication with all members of the club, with the school, and especially with parents. Undertaking appropriate and relevant training. Monitoring and maintaining a healthy, safe and secure working environment.

Experience required:

Experience of working with 4 to 8 year olds Understanding the varied needs of children and families Ability to work as part of a team
