Job Title: Wraparound Care Setting Leader

Location: Mill Hill, Barnet, Whetstone

Job Type: Part-Time, Term-time only (39 weeks a year)

Salary: 13,665 - 16,225 based on 25 hours a week (Actual hours will vary according to site, contract & personal preference)

Hours of work: Wraparound roles include Breakfast Clubs typically running for 1 hour between 7:30am - 8:45am and after school clubs running between 3-6pm. Hours vary according to the site and the role. All wraparound roles are term-time only. Additional work may be offered in holiday camps during school holidays.

About Us: Non Stop Action was established in January 2006 and delivers PE teaching in Primary Schools, high quality sports & dance coaching in our academies, clubs & camps. Our wraparound care program in our partner schools offers before and after school care, ensuring that children have a seamless and enjoyable experience throughout the day. Key responsibilities:

Create a welcoming and inclusive environment

where all children feel valued and supported.

Supervise children

to ensure their safety and well-being at all times during wraparound care sessions.

Plan and deliver engaging activities

that promote creativity, physical activity, and social development for children.

Support children with their individual needs

, including emotional, social, and behavioural support.

Order and maintain

all activity resources and food

Oversee the preparation and service of healthy snacks or meals

in line with food hygiene and allergy guidelines

Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory guidance including safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies

at all times.

Maintain accurate records

, including attendance, incidents, safeguarding concerns and reporting on number of places utilised and effective use of resources

Supervise Team members

to ensure the smooth running of the club and assume responsibility for on the job training

Build links and work

in partnership with parents, carers and professionals to promote the well-being of the children and provide updates to parents/carers on their child's participation and wellbeing.

Identify and report

on child protection issues to the school DSL or other professionals as appropriate

Prepare for inspections

both internal and external, including OFSTED
The successful candidate will have

Previous experience in a similar setting and a genuine passion for working with children. Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team. An Early Years or Playwork qualification at Level 2 or above will be advantage Experience of effective supervision of staff in a school or childcare setting will also be an advantage. Working knowledge of relevant national regulations and guidance relating to child protection, health & safety, equal opportunities and confidentiality A Paediatric First Aid certificate and basic food hygiene certificate will be an advantage but will be provided in the role.

For candidates who are not at this level of skills or experience, we can offer Wraparound Care Activity/Play Leader where responsibility is for a group of children rather than across the setting. Salaries for this role are 8,920.00-11,000.00 per year.
