As our Wraparound Care Venue Leader at a busy primary school in Chiswick, you will be in charge of delivering a safe, structured and engaging programme for children aged 4 to 11. Leading a small team of playworkers, you will be responsible for the smooth daily running of both morning and afternoon sessions, making sure every child starts and ends their day in a positive and supportive environment.
What You'll Be Doing
Leadership:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the wraparound programme, leading your team with positivity and purpose
Safeguarding:
Act as the designated safeguarding lead on site, keeping children safe and happy at all times
Planning and Delivery:
Support your team in delivering creative and age-appropriate activities, from breakfast through to play and wind-down
Communication:
Liaise with parents, carers and school staff in a professional and friendly manner - you are the face of the programme
Environment:
Ensure the setting is welcoming, clean and organised, with a strong focus on fun and safety
Mentoring:
Train and support your team, give feedback and help to build a positive team culture

A competitive hourly rate between 14 and 16, depending on experience and qualifications

Regular working hours: Monday to Friday, 7.15 to 9.00 am and 2.30 to 6.30 pm

It Would Be Great If You Have
A valid enhanced DBS, or are willing to obtain one
Experience of leading or supervising a team
At least two years of experience working with children in a play, school or care setting
First Aid and Safeguarding training, or are willing to complete this before starting
A positive attitude and a genuine love of working with children
Strong organisational skills and the ability to stay calm and confident during busy times
