Play Leader

on a part-time basis, working at one of our

Primary School Clubs in Chichester.

The successful candidate will share our

ACTIVES,

and will be responsible for managing a fun, active and stimulating experience at our Wraparound Care provision.

As a Wraparound Play Leader you will need to have experience of working with children and assisting a provision that is safe, fun & inclusive, you will also ideally have...

A passion for working with children

and providing inclusive, fun, and engaging activities for the children in your care. Alongside this, you will inspire them to explore their interests, leading the planning and delivery of games and activities. This will include multi-sports, indoor and outdoor games, arts & crafts, downtime and structured play, therefore,

enthusiasm and organisation skills

are essential!

You will be

responsible

for ensuring the

safety

and

enjoyment

of the children in your care. All team members are required to follow specific policies and procedures, including accident and incident reporting, as well as health and safety checks as required. It is important to note that the children and families also benefit from

consistent, reliable team members

through the positive relationships that are built.

You will

assist

the day-to-day running of the wraparound and ensure you conduct yourself in line with our

ACTIVES

. You will report into the Setting Coordinator and have responsibility for ensuring high levels of structured activity take place.

All Play Leaders are expected to conduct themselves

professionally

and

communicate

effectively with all team members, parents, children and schools on a daily basis. You will be a representative of the organisation's brand so it's vital to always be a

positive role model.

Essential:



A passion for working with children Passionate and driven to deliver a world class service Excellent verbal and written communication skills Able to facilitate high-quality sessions & activities Paediatric First Aid Certificate Experience in working within an educational setting

Desirable:



Safeguarding Certificate Level 3 Award in Childcare and Education OR Diploma for the Early Years workforce Level 2 Food hygiene certificate FGM awareness Prevent Duty knowledge Child sexual exploitation knowledge County Lines knowledge

Key Responsibilities:



Assist the delivery of our Wraparound Care programme, including serving breakfast and an afternoon snack Deliver inclusive, high-quality sessions and activities, creating a positive, caring, supportive environment Act professionally in interactions with children, parents, colleagues and schools. Safeguarding the well-being of children, following organisational policies and procedures Maintain records, ensuring all children are signed in and out of sessions using our online register system Taking appropriate steps to identify and overcome barriers to participation Attending professional development where required for the role Be a brand ambassador, demonstrating our company values at all time

Hours and pay



This is a term time only contract, with the option of additional work during school holidays Working hours 15:00 - 18:00 Monday-Friday, term time only with the option of additional hours during school holidays From 12.00 per hour, payable 4 weekly
