to oversee the day-to-day running of our Breakfast and After School Club provision in a school in SE23. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting children's wellbeing, development, and enjoyment outside of core school hours.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the daily operations of both Breakfast and After School Clubs
Ensure a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for all children
Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote creativity, play, and social development
Maintain accurate records and uphold safeguarding procedures
Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and school/club staff e.g. any behavioural or staffing issues.
Ensuring food is prepared and undertake the weekly shopping.
Supervise and support wraparound staff, ensuring high standards of care
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Be confident, organised, and passionate about working with children
Have excellent communication skills with both children and adults
Be proactive and able to manage day-to-day logistics independently
Demonstrate a warm, approachable, and professional manner
Essential Requirements
Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) training
or willingness to undertake
Proven experience working in childcare, education, or wraparound settings
Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain)
Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to undergo)
Basic Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to undergo)
References will be requested, Salary dependent upon experience.
