Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant to support yard operations.

The ideal candidate will play a vital role in materials handling, shipping and receiving, and maintaining efficient workflow within the facility. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in warehouse management systems and mechanical processes, contributing to the smooth functioning of our logistics team.

Duties

Assist with loading and unloading materials using forklifts and manual handling techniques Support warehouse management system data entry and inventory tracking Organise storage areas to optimise space utilisation and accessibility Aid in shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation and timely dispatch Perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently as required Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment, including forklifts and mechanical tools Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times

Experience

Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided Familiarity with forklift operation is highly desirable Knowledge of warehouse management systems or similar software is advantageous Mechanical knowledge or experience with construction or materials handling is a plus Experience in shipping & receiving, load & unload procedures, or heavy lifting activities will be beneficial Ability to work effectively in a physically demanding environment and follow safety protocols
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 24,420.00-28,000.00 per year
