Established Oak Frame manufacturer English Heritage Buildings is seeking an experienced

Production Operator / Yard Assistant

to join our busy production team.
This is a hands-on, full-time position supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our manufacturing and yard operations.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation, movement, and organisation of oak frame components within the yard and workshops Operate woodworking machinery and equipment to support production schedules Load and unload deliveries, check incoming stock, and ensure accurate storage and handling of materials Drive forklifts and other yard equipment safely and efficiently Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment at all times Support production colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and on-time completion of projects Uphold company Health & Safety standards across all working areas

Requirements:

Previous experience within a manufacturing, timber, or construction environment (essential) Forklift licence (preferred, but in-house training can be provided) Confident using woodworking machinery and handling materials safely Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player Physically fit due to the nature of the work Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to assist across departments Good communication skills and attention to detail Full UK Driving Licence (required due to rural location)

Salary:

From

30,000 per year

(depending on experience)

Full-time, Monday to Friday
