4 on / 4 off 1800-0600ABOUT THE ROLE:
Reporting directly to the Transport Shift Manager the purpose of this role is to support the transport department in ensuring the movement of the vehicles on site is controlled and managed safely, in line with site procedures, to ensure trailers are in the correct places to meet the business requirements.
PAY RATES:
Monday - Friday: + Days: 16 p/hour
+ Nights 17 p/hour
Saturday: + Days: 18
+ Nights 19
Sunday and bank holidays:
+ Days: 20 p/hour
+ Nights: 21 p/hour
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
To control all vehicle movements entering and exiting the site. To control the movement of third party trailers on to bays, both inbound and outbound. To ensure that all trailers are put on and pulled of the loading bays in a timely manner. To check the fridge temperature is set correctly prior to putting a trailer on a bay. To liaise with the warehouse team regarding the trailer/load requirements. To record the trailer number and the load/route number it has on with the transport office To monitor and record all loaded trailer temperatures Conduct roadworthy/legal checks on trailers prior to putting them on a bay To monitor and supervisor bay green light procedures * To carry out regular spot checks on Moran drivers and shunters to ensure safety compliance
